Belgium - Day One

Well I call it day one.
Two days in a plane. Thank the Sultan for Business Class. No thanks for being 6 hours late.
England a land of foreigners obstructing everything and I do not mean the tourists I mean those commonwealth members and every other bloody refugee ( as long as you are not of British descent) then its "go back to the colonies sir" .......but that sounds like sour grapes. And it is pretty much. The English ' masters' are a pretty poor lot. Good on self interest but sod all else.
Never mind.  I am in Hasselt.
I have a theory that the Belg people were what might be called Angles  from whence the 'English' devolved. But if you ever wanted to see a people under siege from foreigners these poor buggers are it.  They hate em, all of us, and with good reason.
How or why I ended up here is irrelevant other than the bike is here.
Tomorrow I and the bike will be gone. But I seem to be
developing a rather disconcerting forgetfulness.
I arrived here with too much stuff.
I found I had even more stuff already here.
How do you get rid of stuff. I guess it becomes rubbish. Pity really.
Anyway my love affair with a silly thing on two wheels is taking up where I left off after a ride from China to France.
Frankly the clutch sounds worse than my old 650 that has done 120k kilometres.  Just hope it is lack of use.
So I am here. Sorted some of the pieces that need sorting.
Trying to now sort storeage fir the return ride and insurance.
Insurance is bizarre. Only the ADAC the German AA provides it. But only in person.
No it is neither formal or quaint. It is a crock.
Did I tell anyone that software developers and that includes phone makers are not as smart as Dolly. Yes I know not original but I have a cranky individualist sheep and what else would you name her ?
So tomorrow with a touch of tail wind I may make the green and pleasant land.
Who  knows. But I do know age is not a number. It is a sentence.
So it is goodnight from him but not from me until I have attempted to deal to a Vlaamse karbonade ( Belgian stew) with beer (of course).
Wish me well.
