Post script, so what is Spot ?

This site records the Spot signals I send when on the road. A small gadget I purchased in Norway but now available pretty much everywhere. They do not work well inside or under a tree so I doubt their actual benefit to mountaineers as they can not guarantee to fall down in the open so to speak. Nor can bikers. But it is designed to let anyone interested know where I last sent a signal. Just in case it was the last time I am heard of. My mate Arthur said to make sure I send them every day because he wanted to know where to pick up the bike ! So NZL04 is "home" to stay. There will be no more adventures as the old Dakar is officially retired. So any new adventures will be aboard NZL07 or another bike. There are places I still wish to visit. Now what, well watch NZL07. She is about to head off on an adventure through Europe to Morocco. That should happen in September. See you here.
